A beautiful village with
wonderful houses of different architectural periods. The
village, galleries and shops invite people to stroll and
linger. The Billings Farm and the mansion Larry
Rockefeller gave to the National Park Service are wonderful
museums to visit or just to hike up Mt. Tom behind the
Rockefeller house. |

Plymouth Notch |

Birthplace of Calvin Coolidge
(www.calvin-coolidge.org).
The village of Plymouth Notch has been preserved thanks to
Calvin Coolidge's son John Coolidge. This lovely
pristine village includes the general store where Calvin's
father worked and the room behind the store where he was born.
Upstairs is the summer White House and across the street is
the house where he took the oath of office after President
Warren G. Harding died in 1923. Up the street is the
church he attended and the cheese factory owned by his father.
Other buildings are also open to the public. It is one
of the best museums in the USA dedicated to a president. |
